Sara was born in Houston, TX in 1976 and grew up in New Braunfels as a creative child in a family of five. She studied Fine Art and Communications at St. Edward's University in Austin, as well as Art History and Graphic Design at Southwest Texas State. She currently resides in Austin with the love of her life...her son, Dylan. She works mainly with acrylic, and enjoys experimenting with a variety of textured mediums. She frequently uses uncommon objects such as wire, feathers, and gemstones in her work, as well as hand-mixing her own concoctions to create texture in her pieces.

Poor J. Brown makes Texas music. Based out of New Braunfels, Texas, the band features David Fenley on lead vocals, Leon Waddy on keys, Clete Ritta on lead guitar, pedal steel, and mandolin, Matt Morgan on accordion, Tim Germadnik on bass, and Kevin Cooley on drums. Their music combines soul, country, and an occasional splash of rock and even funk to create a sound that is memorable, fun, and down right addictive. Poor J.
