Liberty 61 was born out of a desire to help others and as a release for my need to create and design. My goal, when I set out on this journey, was to establish a socially-conscious clothing line that would be able to financially-support missionaries, visionaries, and people who help people in their communities. I wanted to create a simple, yet high quality, product that emphasized comfort and style. I have always loved the idea of the minimalist lifestyle where there is a "less is more" attitude towards "things" and where experiences and relationships are placed at the top of priorities. Keep it simple seems to have been my theme over the last few years and although it is not a likely slogan for a company that wants to make a lot of sales, my goal truly is for each person to live a life filled with purpose and wonder, to explore and see the world and people around them and, well, of course, to look good doing it.
I believe Liberty 61 offers those feel-good, look-good clothes. So each piece I have designed was designed with you - the responsible buyer, traveler, mother, daughter, helper, socially-conscious, whimsical creatives, and the people who care about the environment - in mind. I also added a men's T which, oddly enough, has turned out to be my favorite shirt and, yes, I wear it to town and to bed ; ). All the pieces are made right here in the USA from the finest organic bamboo fibers I could find.
Liberty 61 is a small, but growing company. We will be working with local non-profits, veteran organizations, and CTEN, an organization that helps missionaries help the people in their communities.
